FAQ

How do you charge?

I typically charge by the board foot plus blades used on the job, but each job is unique with its own characteristics. Please call, text or email me to discuss. I have a minimum of $950 if the job is less than six (6) hours.

What do your services include?

I only provide the milling service itself. The customer is responsible for removing the scrap wood from the mill, removing the lumber from the mill & stacking the lumber. This allows me to stay behind the controls and maximize efficiency.

What is the largest log you can mill?

The saw can handle logs up to 21’ long, but for best efficiency, it is recommended that logs not be longer than 18’. There is no set maximum diameter that I can mill, but it is typically around 32” depending on the symmetry of the log.

How are the logs loaded onto the mill?

As long as your logs are neatly stacked in a pile where the mill can be pulled up alongside, each log can be rolled up to the mill using a cant hook. From that point, the hydraulic cradle picks the log up and drops it onto the mill.
